Stowmarket Ramblers was formed in 1974. To read the story of the start of the group, and it’s early days read Ann Hewlett’s item on ‘Group Origins’
We walk most Sundays, and on some weekdays, and, as our programme shows, do not restrict ourselves to the local area. We also have some social activities.
Although our programme is intended primarily for Ramblers members we are delighted to welcome non-members to come along as our guests for up to three "taster walks" before needing to join Ramblers to be covered by third party insurance on future walks. (Please click here for joining details.)
Membership entitles you to walk with any Ramblers group and all walks are free, but please come prepared for the possibility of car-park charges or donations for parking.
Walks are led by our members, and our Programme Secretary will be pleased to hear from leaders with walks for our next programme.
